Crested Butte Colorado on Gothic Road
This was my husband's favorite fishing spot. I took this in July after the area had received a lot of spring rain.

These old houses used to house the mine workers that worked the mines nearby. I love to take pictures of abandoned properties. This is Colorado history.

Taylor River near Gunnison Colorado
It was so cold out and the wind was blowing, but I could not resist getting out of the car to snap the picture of this wonderful winter scene.

Upper Blue Lake, Mt. Sneffels Wilderness, Ridgway, CO
We hiked up the lower blue lake and set up our camp, then trekked onward to see the upper lakes. There was an afternoon thunderstorm that produced moody lighting for this photo.

Chautauqua Park, Boulder, CO
Description: On an early February morning, there was a slight inversion along the foothills, resulting in this beautiful fog.

American Lakes, State Forest State Park, Gould, CO
My favorite view from the American Lakes hike in State Forest State Park. I loved the variety of fall colors and how non-traditional this fall photo is. Currently showing at L.A. ArtCore Brewery Annex.

I was driving on Trail Ridge Road and saw this sunset, with my Wife steering the car I took several images while we were moving.

Fort Collins
This shot is an adult bald eagle diving for a dead fish on the ice. This shot was taken in Fort Collins on a very windy day. The fish would surface during the day and freeze at night, making a feeding frenzy for the eagles the next morning when the ice melted!

While walking along the Poudre River on a trail this American kestrel waited patiently to get his picture taken. Kestrels are very common and can usually be seen along roadways in the power lines.

Maroon Bells, Aspen, CO
Sometimes a solo adventure is needed. Last Fall I took off for Aspen after planning to photograph the Milkyway next to the Maroon Bells. I had planned the time and location using various different tools. I was hoping I had done everything correctly. It was a chilly night under the stars waiting for the Milkyway to make its way across the sky. It was very dark, I was happy to have my dog there to protect me and listen for any wildlife that could potentially sneak up on me. Around 2:30 am, the stars aligned, the Milky Way was where I had hoped it would be! italydreamsphoto.squarespace.com

Maroon Bells, Aspen, CO
Infrared photography opens up a new way on how to see the world. The Maroon Bells are one of the most photographed locations in Colorado. Seeing them through a different type of photography can open up your eyes to more spectrums of visible light.

Lakeside Amusement Park, Denver CO
It’s not officially summer in Denver without a visit to Lakeside Amusement Park. One of the oldest amusement parks in the United States, Lakeside opened in 1908. Take a ride on the Ferris Wheel and enjoy the warm summer air and nostalgia of your youth.
RiNo Art District, Denver CO
Denver has so much beautiful public art. The Crush Walls art festival in RiNo features some of the best graffiti artists in the country. They transform the streets and alleys into permanent open-air art galleries. The belief in an alien race of shape-shifting reptiles infiltrating our society, plotting the demise of humanity is one of my favorite conspiracy theories. These lizard people, found lurking in the alley positioned by the garbage, is an interesting comment about our consumer society and the waste it creates.
Estes Park, CO The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park is one of the most well known haunted locations in the country. The hotel was made famous by Steven King's books written about his stay there. The Stanley is also connected to some photographic history. The brothers that built the hotel owned a photography business called The Stanley Dry Plate Company and then later sold it to George Eastman of Eastman Kodak in 1903.

Loveland Pass, CO
This location holds a special place in my heart. This was the first time I was able to watch the sunrise here and it didn't disappoint. We camped high above the lakes and when the sun broke the horizon, light spilled into the valley and ignited the world with color. Not a bad spot for a morning stroll…

Mt Evans, CO
Watching the sunrise from the summit of Mt. Evans is an experience every Coloradan should have. It's my go-to spot during the summer, but this morning, we got a sunrise like no other. We were above a sea of clouds that swirled down below us, churning like an ocean. When I imagine heaven, this is the image I see in mind's eye.
